Essentially, we are seven graduate students from Dartmouth. We have a range of research interests, but we are all a part of the Polar Environmental Change Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship program (aka the IGERT). We are using this blog to share our summer field experience in Greenland. During our time in Greenland we will be doing research together, meeting and working with polar scientists in and beyond our fields, and sharing science and ideas with Greenlanders. In the end, we’re hoping that the experience will give us an interdisciplinary understanding of polar research and its importance to social issues and, in doing so, will help us be better, more engaged scientists.
It’s hard to say what the blog will bring, but hopefully you’ll stick along for the ride!
