As Laura mentioned, we made it to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland yesterday evening and have been busily getting organized and recovering from the long day of travel yesterday. Our flight on the C-130 was packed!
As we were flying over the coast of Greenland, we could see the fjords from the small porthole-like windows. It was a very beautiful site!
Today we are headed out with Dr. Eric Post and his group to see their science camp site. Dr. Eric Post is a Biology professor at Penn State University, who studies ecological dynamics in arctic environments. This should be an awesome experience for us, and I’m especially excited because I do not see any plants and animals while being on the ice sheet for my research!
