Quick post from our current traverse stop “B5D” … we’re doing science on GrIT! In fact, we’ve visited 3 sites from Carl Benson’s mid-1950s traverses! Today (23 April) we saw fit to visit two! Galen and Thomas … doing science! =D
The GrIT camp sites have been serenely picturesque, if not a bit chilly. I mean, when the sun goes down, there is no more “heat”. Still, it makes for some incredible sunsets!
But most of the days, so far, have been filled with moving stuff from one point to another. There isn’t much to hit, per se, while driving on the Greenland Ice Sheet, but you still need to watch the road! So, with that, keep your eyes on the RPMs, watch the GPS so as to avoid crevasses, and check your load in your mirrors … Swing Boss is watching, =D
